Bisser Grigorov was born on 6 September 1961 in Sofia.

From 1979 till 1981, while in the army, he was dancing in the Ensemble of the Army.

During the period 1981 – 1985 he is a performer in the Ensemble “Trakia”- Plovdiv.

In 1985 he graduated the Academy of music, dance and art – Plovdiv with excellent marks.

From 1985 till 1997 he worked in the National Palace of Kids as a choreographer of the Ensemble ROSNA KITKA.

From 1985 till 1990 he is director of the Youth group in Ensemble “Sofia”.

Since 1997 Bisser Grigorov has been a lecturer at the National Sports Academy "Vassil Levski", where he is currently an Associate Professor, Ph.D.

From 2003 till 2008 he is chairman of the Association “Dance art” in the Union of the Bulgarian musicians and dancers.

He is author of 22 folk dances: “Momchetii”, “Graovski tanz”, “Vidinski zadevki”, “Snimka za spomen”, "Snimka za spomen", “Po nevolja”, “Igri I pesni ot Pirina”, "Shopski zaigravki", “Magarishtari”, “Hei-hop”, “Sreshti”, “Koledari”(co-author Rossitza Lozanova) , and many others.

Bisser Grigorov is author of scientific articles, school aids and the book “Short history of the Bulgarian folk choreography”.

Winner of:

• Second prize of the National competition for chamber dances (G.Orjahoviza 1990);
• Second prize of the National competition for kid’s dances (Razgrad 1991);
• First prize of the International competition for compositions for kids “Malkia prinz” – Kishinev 1996;
• Third prize of National competition for kid’s dances (Razgrad 1999);
• First prize of the National competition for kid’s dances (Razgrad 2005);
• Winner of Golden Lyre Award of The Union of the Bulgarian musicians and dancers – 2006.
